We are happy to showcase our friends Scott and Chris, who are known for their outstanding automotive content on Limited Slip Blog.
This past weekend they visited The Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. In true Sports Car Hunter fashion, they skewed away from typical Concours journalism and wrote about the cars driving to the event. We approve!

The Greenwich Concours d’Elegance has a little something for everyone. Shopping on scenic Greenwich Avenue, lunch at l’Escale restaurant on the harbor, a Bonhams classic car auction, and of course the show itself.
The event lasts the entire weekend, spanning American classics and international imports. It really is a sight to behold for enthusiasts of all ages. It goes without saying that such a display of wealth and automotive enthusiasm draws exotic cars out of the woodwork.
As enthusiasts, we have a good day if we spot a single exotic. In Greenwich, however, we literally had a field day. Here’s a sampling of what we caught up with.
Audi R8 
We arrived in the BMW M3, and we parked next to this for an excellent photo.
Ferrari 16M
After this turn you head down into a tunnel, great sounds were made from this gentleman.
Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster
Seriously an SLS AMG roadster in white? Classy color combination, and fantastic wheels.
Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera & Ferrari 458 Italia
The ultimate decision in which one would you choose, for the enthusiasts keep in mind the Superleggera was a manual.
Those carbon ceramics on the 458 Italia look damn good.
Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black Edition
As I hide behind the tree and update our Twitter feed, this amazing DBS takes all eyes off me.
McLaren MP4-12C
Have you ever heard one of these? If you haven’t you have not lived your car enthusiast life to the fullest, yet.
Ford GT
It’s a Ford GT, its the right color/stripe combination, enough said.
Mercedes SLR McLaren Roadster & Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Seeing an SLR McLaren roadster is rare enough, let alone seeing it alongside a GT3RS with blue wheels and stripe.
Ferrari FF
The FF’s smiley face still doesn’t detract from its amazing exhaust note, interesting 4-wheel-drive configuration, and rather hefty price tag.
Nissan Skyline GT-R
Have you seen an R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R in the wild before? This was a first for us.
Bonus - Mercedes SLS - matte finish
This was the only matte paint on a car at the entire show. That’s not a bad thing.

Why it’s good: And they’re off! The 2012 Gumball 3000 literally shut down Times Square. Maybe this is why the entrance fee cost $40,000…they rented half the damn block for a day?!

Why it’s good: The McLaren has been a staple at the Gumball 3000 for years. I don’t see that changing in 2013. These cars are known to scare sharks, mountain lions, and bears. Quite scary.

Why it’s good: The 2012 Gumball started off as a sloppy affair. It was wet. Very wet. Taking pictures at speed in these conditions are absurdly difficult. While this Ferrari may not win every style award, this specific photo screams, “I AM AN FF AND I LAUGH IN THE FACE OF THUNDER! HA HA HA!”
